Title: My thing is hanging low, but only on one side.
Post by: LightningBoldtz on May 19, 2014, 07:53:13 AM
Did I get your attention???

OK, so I get a very decent looking Red Master-touch.  The ash ring was literally hanging because the bar was not in far enough.

I disassembled hoping to get a tighter fit to the bowl but it is doing this.

Here is the other side.

I have the nut screwed in pretty tight which is what I thought would resolve it.

You need to bend the ashbar flatter so that it pulls it into the kettle. Remove the OT handle and drop the ash collar with the bar still attached. Now push down in the center of the bar (where the hole is) and bend it down 1-1.5". Reinstall it and your gap will be resolved.
