Here's something you Yanks wouldn't see too often.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/17/e5ezy2u8.jpg)

No I've had it for a while. Buy I haven't been using it much since I started with the Weberitis treatment.

Believe it or not I bought a rolled loin completely forgetting that I was working afternoons all this week and wouldn't get a chance to cook it. So when I found out my brother was coming over, I set it up on the Barbeskew and left to go to work and left him to finish it off.

This was the result:

I had thrown a couple of apples in a foil tray to catch the drippings and added some garlic cloves. After it was all cooked, the apples just atomised and they got pulverised with the drippings and garlic, to make one of rhe best apple sauces my family had ever tasted apparently!

Winning!

That's a great piece of kit, the roast looks great and the apple sauce sounds like the good stuff too!

It's good that you can count on your family to look after you...not!  :D

After putting that on to cook, there's no way I'd have been able to walk away.  Great timing by your brother too...more for him!

The loin plate looks first rate. But what is the round knob with the shiny center on the right side for?

I'm glad you asked. :D

The Barbeskew is a clever bit of kit. It is a charcoal griller with a hood like a gasser would have, and has the facility to rotate a rolled pork or cut of beef or even chooks. And it will also roll smaller skewers. You can see the slots in the front of the chassis for the smaller skewers. And the coup 'de grais is that knob. It allows the raising and lowering of the firebed for increasing the heat intensity as you roll your meat.

Mind over matter...... I don't have that power.... YET!
