Title: Sage green 2005 performer restoration
Post by: Antisven84 on July 06, 2016, 02:44:58 AM: Ok so 2 weekends ago this performer popped up for a great price so I treated myself to an early birthday present. It just so happened it's a pretty unique colour here in oz.

It was in good condition with minor rust around the welds, totally grubby internally and generally neglected. In addition when I got home i noticed the gas assist brackets, all the bowl nuts and bolts, and the ash pan handles extremely rusty

It's a pretty unique color in the states as well. I've never seen a sage performer (aside from @zavod44's conversion), only sage one-touch platinums.

Too bad you couldn't have drilled out the stripped screw. I have had to do that once.
Was able to save the handle, but I ended up going with wood, anyway. Looks far better.

heads up- the bolt pattern is different. the performer frame extends further out and pulls the mounting hole with with it.
