I know this is old hat for most, but we tried beer can burgers for the first time this weekend. I have to admit, we were surprised at how good they were.
We used a smaller can and 1/3# of beef each. I had grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms in mine and the Boss had just cheese. One slice of bacon was perfect.
The second surprise is that the toppings didn't slide off ... because they were *in* the burger.
PS - I know I cooked it on a gasser - but it is a Weber.
