Title: Maverick 732 LLL Code Probe Fail. Looking For Suggestions
Post by: captjoe06 on October 14, 2018, 02:52:30 AM
At the house I got a open box Smoke remote thermometer thanks to the heads up on the sale from @JEBIV

At the dock I use a Maverick 732 that has served me well over the past couple of years but just recently I've been getting LLL Code readings on the screen which I read is a priobe failure.

Looking on the maverick site it costs $20 for replacement probes.

Does anyone know of cheaper replacement probes.

Seems dumb to spend $20 on such a cheap probe when the units don't cost a ton more.

I'm trying to show a little restraint from going ahead and buying another smoke, because its such a tank.

You can find 3' & 6' replacement probes at Amazon for less than $20. I have bought a couple in the past have had good luck with them.

@captjoe06 I have a brand new 6' Maverick probe if you'd like. To be honest I don't know if it is a Maverick brand but it came with the 732 as a free add-on when I bought it. PM me if you're interested.

If @captjoe06 doesn't need it, I'd gladly buy it off you as I've got one acting funky.
