I used a couple 20" pizza screens I bought at the local restaurant supply store to increase my space an extra 600 sq in.
I attached wire loops onto the screens for lifting. The kettle sits atop a $29 electric analog smoker, minus the top rack and hooks. No seal problems . In warm weather the kettle with a full load will maintain 140-170 no problem. Turning it down as things heat up is the only work involved. An AMNPS with pellets for smoke works great if it is up off the electric element. I use a deflector of aluminum foil. 6-7 hours for this 1000 sq.inch load of beef jerky.
