Title: Got a couple of new outfits...
Post by: zavod44 on November 04, 2012, 06:35:08 PM
So I have a bunch of those crummy gray Weber covers.  They are okay, but they sat out all summer and now they are like cracking and disintegrating.  I was looking for some kind of alternative.  I do have some of the better black covers.  Jeff gave me a sweet vintage cover that I love.  So I went looking and I found some retro looking cloth, and I know someone who sews.   So I got some new covers made.  I'm gonna have some more made out of outdoor canvas....I need to find a good way to waterproof the canvas.
Here's what I have so far...

Scotch guard?

Those are cool. Keeps the dust off of them while there in the stable.

You need to do a red picnic table and a blue jean one.

A solid red or blue one would be shweeet............... 8)

You could make them to match your webers like a yellow on for example.

Brain, what the double hockey sticks are you talking about?
Did Colorado pass a new law about smoking pot?
I wouldn't know about that?

EDIT: Found this on Google..

It’s legal to smoke pot in Colorado and Washington state now—except that it’s not. Colorado voters passed an initiative Tuesday allowing possession of 1 ounce and six plants growing in a private, secure space. Washington voters said people 21 and older could buy an ounce from a licensed seller. But the federal government has the last word, and its ban on possession and distribution of marijuana stands.

Brian,
Are those table cloths cut and sewed? I showed these to my wife and she said that's what they look like, and would be waterproof too.

I made them from Oilcloth, which is essentially table cloths, with a flannel backing.  So yes it's water proof, and padded on the inside...
