All of these 26'rs posted here cooking away made me want to post one cook of my own. Nothing special, but I did use the upper rack on it for the first time over oak lump.

So with the raised rack it looks like full direct slow method you had talked about ? About how far from the coals is the elevated rack?

Thanks, I just checked and it's eight inches from the charcoal grate to the shelf. It sits three inches above the main grate. I could put a taller one in the 26, but this one also fits my 22. I actually didn't do the burgers full direct because I had to warm the buns. I just moved the burgers onto the shelf, added the cheese and set the buns on for about five minutes or so. This would have worked just fine for adding the cheese while it was still above the fire though.

uke you said the rack fits a 22.. Where did you get it...

I made it from an old main grate that I cut in half. Here's the old post, but I still need to fix the pictures. I copied the one weber used to sell.

That almost looks like the Q Warming Rack... http://www.amazon.com/Weber-Q-6512-Warming-Rack/dp/B0036OQK2O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365287313&sr=8-1&keywords=Weber+Q+warming+rack
I've been wondering if they would fit an 18" or 22" okay. Probably require some slight bending for a better curve & fit for the kettle.
