Title: Legs
Post by: bryanw21157 on June 06, 2013, 09:54:09 AM
So, I'm working on the sideways K redhead today.  The legs are completely dull and oxidized.  I used 0000 steel wool and simi-chrome and this is how the front turned out (shown next to rear leg in untouched condition)

Looks great, and the recent threads here regarding aluminum restoration have me inspired. But I gotta ask, are new legs available and what cost? As much as I like refurbing old stuff, at my core I'm lazy.

Nice work Bryan!

I've used 0000 and Mother's Mag polish, but I haven't gotten any that shiny yet.
