I've done them for my 14.5 & 18.5 WSMs. It's some work, but you can save some cash. You need to weld or have a friend that does. I made my own rings out of 16 gauge metal. If you don't have a ring roll, try making a form out of wood.to bend the metal to shape. Clamp the metal to the form & weld it together. Weld some tabs about 3/4" from the bottom of the ring so it can slip into the bowl a bit (that's Weber style). Get some 1/4" rod & bend it around the top of the ring & weld it. This will allow the lid of the kettle to fit snug. Now all you have to do is cut a slot & drill some holes for the bracket & spit bushing. Paint the outside with HH Rustoleum. Onegrill is a good source for a bracket, spit, motors & etc. Good luck.

fwiw - I bought the Cajun Bandit rotisserie setup for my 26er. Getting lazy, I guess.

This is one I did for the 14.5.

Turn it upside down & it would fit a SJ.

From my brief search looks like it was $199. If I recall correctly they do this size in short runs. Hopefully someone that has one will chime in.

If you are interested in the Cajun bandit one email them and see if they are going to make them anytime soon. It’s a small company so if they get enough interest they might make some.

According to the Cajun Bandit website, they currently have 27 of these available right now. Am I missing something? Why is everyone under the impression that these are unavailable?

I think I might take the challenge and make one, does anybody know what the circumference should be for a 26 inch kettle. Does the ring sit on the outside diameter of the Weber?

pie r squared = c. r being the radius.

Usually, the ring fits inside or directly on top.

It’s stainless... I work next to a heating and air shop, it still cost me $50.. but was fun to “DIY”.  You might be able to find some “rems” at a similar shop.. mine was actually 2 pieces that they spot welded together. I then made the final size and screwed the 2 ends together. It sits on the grate tabs in the kettle

pie r squared = c. r being the radius.

Usually, the ring fits inside or directly on top.

If memory serves, circumference is 2πR, or πD. (I believe πRsqrd. is the formula for area, not circumference.)

You are correct. Was making a small ring the other day & "needed" 80 inches of material. Checked my math - oops... wrong formula.  :P
