Two inch thick ribeyes reverse seared on the new to me brownie...next cook will be on the new red :)

Great looking steaks man! I think the thicker cuts really do best with reverse sear. An inch isn't quite thick enough to do it right...

That is some incredible looking steakage! And a great job on the cook.

And I know that you are wearing that light on your head to see, I do the same thing. And look about as cool. "Did you get a free bowl of soup with that hat?" Oh, it looks good on you though.

Nice kettle.

Thanks guys, the first time I tried the reverse sear on thinner steaks didn't go well.  They were overdone.  I was a little nervous to try it again, but I have to say, these were some of the best steaks I've made. 

Funny thing about the steaks was that I made this for some Brazilian friends of ours...I figured if anyone would appreciate a good steak, it would be people from the country that invented the churrascuria.  I wasn't wrong.  They LOVED it and said I could go to work at Fogo de Chao:)

Wow I can honestly say I've never seen steaks that thick!  Ya maybe I need to get out more.
