Title: Just a late model 18 OTG I picked up.
Post by: G$ on July 23, 2012, 03:58:26 PM
Picked this up yesterday for $20.  I have been looking for an 18 OTG (which seem to be a little hard to come by, most OTG are 22s).  I will be creating some short legs for it to use as a portable camping grill.  This one looked like the right buy.  Plus, it came with a full bic lighter, a chimney starter, and some weird fire starting packets (They look like the same material as the weber parafin cubes, which I actually like quite a bit and use pretty frequently).  I can definitely pass the Chimney along to soemone with a real need for one (student moving in to his first house).  It also came with the cover.  Nice.

The lady gave me a grill brush which I tossed, and some long tongs which i may turn in to charcoal movers. Or toss.

Anyway .... One can of "easy off" later, I am out the door for $25.

I never knew the 18s came with fold up grill grates. shrug.

Oh I almosr forgot also, I installed the OTG handles to the left of the front leg on purpose.  I like the way they seem to work on that side. Gonna give it a test run.

Hahahha, I am talking about the ash sweep and bucket handle.

I guess I am dumb - I have them oinstalled to the right of the front leg on all my other grills.   I noticed Shauns prototype for the 2013 galley Q has them pointed right as well...
