Title: This Kettle can do everything!
Post by: Met8 on January 29, 2017, 12:19:00 PM
So I just got my pizza que in the other day and decided today was the day to let her rip.  (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170129/9137aad604566aa1139efbd36770a60c.jpg)

Pizza turned out amazing.  Any cleaning/care tips for the pizza stone?

Geez man, your pizza looks like you have been doing this a while already...solid work! As for the pizza stone, just scrape any residue off with a metal spatula. I have a 4" wide razor scraper I have used with good results too. I don't think it's a good idea to get the stone wet, or soapy.

Wow!  Great first pizza!  I have struggled with making round pizzas myself.  My last cook I finally made a few almost perfectly round pizzas.  The trick I found was to dump my dough out of the bowl right onto my dough working surface.  I was previously pulling it out of the bowl with my hands then moving it to my cutting board.  Now I just flip my bowl upside down over my cutting board and then start stretching the dough.

Do you use a rolling pin to help stretch the dough?  Im going to have to get on YouTube I think!

No.  Everyone has told me not to.  It rolls the air bubbles out of the dough.

Getting it round is tough , when I get it round it's by accident ....

Anyone have a favorite dough recipe they would like to share?

The one time I made pizzas I used the Bobby Flay dough. It was easy and effective.

I second the Bobby Flay recipe!  Quite a few of us here use it.
