I have three that I'm gonna cook on the grills. I just need to figure out which grills I'm gonna use. I think Grandpa will get the nod. I'm also thining the Seville with an extension ring, and maybe the yellow 22 with an extension ring...pictures to follow. I'll try to post and keep updating all day long.....Is anyone else doing multiple birds?

This year is the first year that our two older children (25 and 26) will not be here for thanksgiving, so we decided to do a duck for the 3 of us. We got a 6.5 lb'er and as of right now I'm going to put it on the rotisserie.
-
i'm also doing a duck tomorrow.
i had orders for 5 turkeys, but i had to bail (too busy at work :()
I have 8 butts on right now though (1 for me, 7 for others)
-
I picked up a 19 lb. Ho-Ka turkey yesterday. It will go in the brine later today and on the grill tomorrow.
-
Since we are going to the wife's grandparents, no turkeys for me, but I will be putting a butt on tonight when we get home and we are having the in-laws over for some BBQ (pulled pork to you foreigners) on black friday.

Okay so here is the set up. I'm going one on Grandpa, one on the seville with the ring, and one on Mesa Azul (#2). I still need space for Sweet potatoes, acorn squash, and stuffing. So that will be the Performer, Meas Azul (#3) and the Gourmet...
Here is the set up

45 minutes later the second bird went on Mesa Azul

Here we are about an hour after the second birds went on...I foiled the one on the seville, and Mesa Azul. Grandpa is a little behind so he isn't foiled yet. I also added coals at this time, maybe 10 coals per side....
Seville is the farthest along

Then Mesa looking good

Oh, wait a minute, you already asked me that awhile back !!!
ALL of THAT looks really, really good !!!
I was chuckling to myself when I was read the part where you said : " I still need space for Sweet potatoes, acorn squash, and stuffing."
Like there's going to somehow be a lack of kettles ? (tee-hee) :)
Looks like everyone's doing something pretty yummy...Enjoy your day all !!!!
i'm still too sick to sit up on my hind legs & cook, so the wife's doing a rib roast in the white thing in the kitchen.....

So here is the whole feast right before everyone attacked it, (well almost as you can see uncle Dick couldn't wait and had to jump in) ....I ate way too much, the turkey was awesome so was the rest of everything....even though it's out of view, on the stove, there is 10 lbs of mashed potatoes, gravy, and rutabaga...

Well, I was between a three hour drive heading to sunny Santa Barbara and had to eat on the road. I did Thanksgiving Cali style! 8) I wore shorts and hung out on the beach the whole time in the 79 degree temps. I made up for the burger by dining on fresh seafood in some fine restaurants while I was there. It was worth the sacrifice. ;)

On Thanksgiving I had shorts, sandals and a sweatshirt here, it was almost 60. Then Friday it was 25 with 50 mph winds...Welcome to Chicago in November. Oh and today I put up my Christmas lights and it was 27 most of the day. It was a little chilly...

I'll take a Big Mac over 27 Degrees any day!
