So I bought this a while back and decided to try it. It’s Big Cock Ranch “Good Shit” on the grill right now. I also used John Henry’s “Jalapeub” and Weber’s “Beer Can Chicken”.
Legs are made with Beer Can Chicken Rub
Thighs (W/Toothpicks) are made with Jalapeub

Just some raw oysters. I wanted to make oyster shooters so had a few of them and a few out of the shell.

I love oysters on the half shell and hot sauce. How was the john Henry’s? I noticed our rural king usually has a lot of their seasonings in stock but I haven’t tried any.

I love oysters on the half shell! My dad used to call them "snot rockets"... :-)
-
We love oysters also except we will put a little garlic butter and a few drops of Louisiana Hot Sauce on the oyster. Put a good amount of monterrey jack cheese with two jalapenos on top and put on the grill until the cheese melts. Make about a dozen with a couple of cold beers is how we roll.

that is a whole meal I would get into !!

When I was younger there was no way I would eat oysters raw, cooked, or in a shot! But now days I love them. I don’t know if there’s any truth to this but I’ve alway heard oysters are best eaten in months that end in “R”.
As for the John Henry’s seasoning I would recommend it in a heartbeat. I like the “Old Stockyard Rub” for pork shoulder, and they also have a wing one that is great. As for “ The Jalape񯠒ub” hot and sweet very nice. The next time you’re at the store pick some up you won’t be Sorry.

Never tried them like that... now I need to. So you make a couple and have about a dozen beers? Damn dyslexia. Lol

I believe Tami and I have had oysters every way imaginable including shooters. Are Bevans pretty briny?

A bit briny but I loved them!

I've never been able to get myself to try an oyster. They don't look good, maybe I'm too far from the ocean, cause I've never been into weird seafood lol

Actually that's months that contain the letter "R".
That would add January, February, March and April to the list.
It has to do with the water temps and the breeding cycle.
Oysters eaten at the wrong time can be slimy(er) and mushy.
Very unappealing.
Also in the old days before reefer cars they were tough to transport in warmer months.
