I'm at my sons swim meet this morning and look what I spot across the pool. I immediately track down the president of the club, who is not here yet, I promptly offer to replace there old beat up grill with a nice shiny new one. We will see what he says when he gets here.

Overall shape is good, also has the side basket. No legs tho, they have it in a makeshift concrete stand.

Wow, Peas, nice work! Great photo, too.
I'm guessing the leg sockets have some issues, but that is in really good shape! Beautiful. Love that condiment rack, too.
If you can nab this one, you'll have to pay a visit to that lonely Jumbo Joe you once told me about...
-
Nice! Seeing that bowl resting against the rough concrete does make me squirm a bit though!!!
-
That's just not going to happen here in Aus. :)
Nice work, the radar is working well.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks to be in good shape. The condiment rack would make it a two for one score.

Good News. I spoke to the president of the pool and its a go. I am on my way to get a new grill now. He wants it set up the same way so ill keep the legs and wheels for this one. I'll post more pics when I get her home.
-
Sounds like a fair trade to me!
-
Sweet score....please post some pics when you get it home.

Sheesh.....I hope the One Touch fits inside the concrete castle there.....
-
Something tells me they are not using any form of damping, so I would just rip out the one touch and run 'er wide open. More parts for you!
-
Great job peas!

So I have it. She's pretty. It all worked out. I swung by target to grab a 22.5 silver and it was an open box marked down to $70. He did not want the legs or ash sweeper. I put it in just like the lime one sat. Everybody was happy, especially me.

A great story of a quick one-member rescue - genius solution and I can't wait to see it all back together. It's the Summer of WKC!

-
Awesome Peas!!!!
I love a story with a happy ending
-
PEASPURPLE FTW!!
Nice job, buddy. So sweet that you got a discounted OTS, too. The Weber gods were smiling today.
-
Great thread! What makes it extra special is that your name is Pease and it's almost pea green. ;D
Marty had a good idea that you keep the OT and run it wide open. Is that what you did? It looks like the handle would have been in the way.
-
Grate spotting and negotiating
mmm Limey
I'm feeling fruity
Well done mate you deserve it
I knew it wouldn't be long till karma helped you out
-
Sweet save!
-
Nice save for sure, how are the leg sockets?
-
Really happy for you pease. That is a beautiful aquisition.
-
Great Grab! It seem almost all of the lime scores have a unique story to go along with getting the great green grill.
-

Leg sockets are great. I believe they were not used for most of her life.

It worked out well. I kept everything but the bowl, lid and grates.

Show us how the bowl looks where it was sitting in the concrete stand. Any major damage? Is it on it's new feet year? C'mon, it's been like a couple hours!

Marty, it's pouring here. I will go out and put her together, I'm gonna use the new wheels and legs from the OTS I bought the pool, I'll also snap some pics of the bowl. No damage from what I see tho.
-
Peas, I think I'm going to have to pay another visit to your incredible collection... that deck is getting more and more colorful all the time. You sure you don't need to make some room? I could keep your Homer Smoker at my place if you like!
-
Great find :)
-
Great find and great story to go with it. Congrats!
-
I want to see what the swim club ended up with. :P

The swim club got a new OTS, sitting on the concrete pillar just like the Limey was. I kept all the spare parts.

Mike you let me know if you wanna trade. I'd let the homer smoker go for that pretty red JJ you picked up. But you are right, I think I'm going to have to move some of my grills downstairs onto the patio.
-
So here are a couple pics of her put together with the OTS parts.
