Scrolling through FBM the other day, went right past what I thought was just another weathered warrior. Along came lunch time and I was scrolling again, this time I saw the same post but something caught my eye. I’m glad I opened it up and looked, there she was in all of her 26” glory. I always say there’s nothing in my area, but they’re out in the wild yet. Patience pays off, I’ve wanted a 26” for some time and it’s finally landed.

I don't think so,Fleetwoods are old school walked up hill both ways to school

I don't think so,Fleetwoods are old school walked up hill both ways to school
and barefoot, in the snow....even in winter!

Nope, but I did shell out $30 for this one. It was about 2 miles from my house.

Making me want to stain my handle

So here’s where I’m at on the handle, that pic was a day after putting some Boos Block conditioner on the handle as a test. It really pooped against the faded black.
I need to lightly sand the handle then I’m going to use Tung Oil. I’ve been reading about different applications and to get the matte finish I’m going for it’s recommended to dilute 1:1 with a solvent. You still get the protection of Tung Oil but without a glossy finish.
Your grill will look even better with the handle dressed up. Nice burgers and corn too, that’s how I do mine.

HOLY GRAILS: 1950s era Black or Custom finish 18.5 or 22.5 Kettle, Brown Go Anywhere grill.
