Title: Weber Fireplace
Post by: G$ on February 12, 2013, 04:38:24 AM
Can anyone tell me if the weber fireplace has any identifying serial numbers or date codes on them?

Are you talking about the gas fire place they made a few years ago, or the wood fueled fire place?

Simple wood fire pit.

I don't think the wood fueled firepits have a date code, but I will check the one I have.

Weber made one during 80's and 90's.  They discontinued it for the US, but still was available in Europe.  Then a few years ago they brought it back and was for sale in the US markets.  But now for 2013 it has been discontinued, again.

I think the difference between 80's firepit and the one they recently sold is the heat shield.  The newer version has slots or tabs on the legs to hold the heat shield in place.
