I got a deal on this SSP, Its a real basket case. Bottom of kettle blown out. No ash catcher. Star nuts shot. Burner is shot. I'm going to restore and pass it on to my best friend. Here are some before pictures.

I have a kettle thats in good usable shape if your interested from the one I pulled apart. Its also green, its not perfect but its a lot better than that one looks. Shipping may hurt though.

Damn! That bowl would make for great air flow on a pizza cook or steak searing.

Looks like quite a project.
Here is one way to approach the rusted out kettle from @Hell Fire Grill (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/a-screwed-up-ss-performer/)

Fitting that it's an ER code. She needs the ER.

That bowl is the worse part. Everything else looks better than mine before the restore. It should be a nice project. I have 2 star nuts left over. If that is all you require, I will send them to you.

These are the star nuts that worked for me. You will need to buy metric bolts, size M6-1.0, with a depth of 45 or 50 mm to secure them.

Thanks @greenweb and @Foster Dahlet I have the star nuts in stock. I really appreciate the offer! My main needs are the bowl and Ash Catcher and burner that's a pretty big order. I can fix the frame and paint, the stainless top I can recondition. The regulator assembly has tape on the hose and a kink. I'll look for the hose at local hardware as well as a 3/8 rod for the front axle. I may have a source for a 5lb tank.

Steve, I have a green kettle if you want it. I assume you did not see my previous message.

@SteveZ - This burner was posted in the member sales and trades, should work for your restoration if it's still available... http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/member-sales-trades/fs-nib-burner-tube-assembly-for-ssp-and-a-few-other-parts/

@Darko I think your right! This Kettle may be destined to become a planter.
