So I have mini Weberitis.. I collect smoker joes
I have a 1998 black , a lime green and a copper
Still in the box.. I have never seen them! Should I leave them
In the box or assemble them and display them?
-
Display them. 98 black; big deal! copper & green I can buy those any time. Maybe in 10-20 yrs they'll be collectable.
-
Where are you guys finding the copper and greens?
-

They still are.

I'd display them but leave the boxes intact if you have the space.

@JDann24 , they can also be found on ebay. Cost from uline is $50. You can find them on ebay for anywhere from $35 on up….
-
I need a few of those aswell........lol
-
If you don't cook on them, they become figurines. Just like the ones in Grandmother's display cabinet. Kettles are made to cook.
-
I'd hate myself if suddenly Uline stopped selling them and then I couldn't source one.
-
I have a couple SJ's. Promo and a CNB Greenie... some off branded Promo (Pepsi n Bud)s to display. These will be wall hangers. I have that special spot all picked out for the man Cave...My P code... that is the designated Fattie cooker... :)

I vote for opening and displaying! What's the point in having them if you can't enjoy them??

@Lemans , are you for real ?? Get a boxcutter and bust 'em open.
I'm not really into collecting SJs, but these just sorta fell into my lap. Never been used …. Just like looking at them.
On a shelf in my garage.

So many Kettles so little time!
-
Look at it this way. Do you want to look at a cardboard box, or do you want to look at a grill?
-
No-one ever said "I wish I had never played with my Weber kettles" on their death bed.
-
Open them up and use them! Setup a rotation.

I am also not into collecting SJs, I just happen to have few. I tried this till my wife got pissed and almost threw them out.
Display in my garage shelf might be the best bet. Thanks for the idea.
