Title: Wsm quick umbrella mod
Post by: Walchit on January 10, 2020, 05:15:47 AM
I was trying to get a little smoke on this pot roast before I put it in the crock pot this morning and it started raining its ass off. So while getting soaked I came up with this to keep the rain out. Seems to be working, and I might try to turn this into a permanent mod so I dont have to bring my 30 dollar 18 in when it rains/snows.

Its an A code 22 bowl. I'm sure you could use an 18 on a 14 wsm. And probably even a 26 bowl on a 22 wsm. We can call it the "Helmet Mod" lol

I had it in the crock pot too long, it was a little dry. The handle got some smoke on it, and it was pretty hot when I took the lid off. Gonna have to make some changes lol

I've used the firepit method with my SSP.  It works pretty well.
