Prepped the appetizer dish for tomorrow's gathering. I followed John's recipe (grilling24x7). http://www.grilling24x7.com/peppers2.shtml

I got to say these things look way tasty. Can't wait to fire up the weber and get some apple smoke on them.

Basically it's halved jalapeƱos, stuffed with cream and Colby jack cheese, then wrapped in bacon. Labor filled prep work.

I wish I wore gloves, my hands are hot as I type.

Ended up that these things were pretty amazing. Way more mild than I though and will probably add more jalapeƱo guts and hot sauce to the mix the next time I smoke them.

Those cooked up nice !!!!

If I'd like them a bit spicier, I'll shake a little chipolte powder or jerk seasoning or any spicy rub in on top of the cream cheese before the wrap.........works good & adds another layer of flavor to the mix !!!!

Those look awesome. I need to figure out a way to make something similar to those but not have any dairy in them.

Imitation crab meat instead of cream cheese might give you good texture and flavor.

Imitation? Shit, we are close enough to the Chesapeake. We don't need imitation. :p Fantastic idea though!! Jalapeno, crab and wrapped in bacon...splendid!

Peanut butter and jelly sounds interesting. Not sure I'll try it though. I'll have to try it with just sausage and bacon.
