It's only been offered in Europe, but supposedly will be available here in 2014

I love the size and shape of those skewers.  It'd be fun to try them out in some kind of tandoor oven kind of setup, too.  I once saw Alton Brown cut the bottom out of a terra cotta pot, invert it, and get that thing up above 700.  Cooked chunks of chicken in seconds.

I I think the first picture is of the one currently available in Europe. The second one is the 2014 model and is available (in Norway at least) on the 3rd of January.

Bumping this to see if there's been any sight of this anywhere.

I don't claim to be a big kebab fiend but have always liked the idea of being able to turn skewers without lifting the lid (!!!!) and probably won't be bidding on any vintage kebab accessory offerings anytime soon.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

For me, it is an under-utilized accessory.  I think it was called into service maybe 4 times last year.
