Filled my Performer void today
« on: July 14, 2013, 01:33:05 PM »
I had to pull the trigger on this bad boy today. The guy put a big ding in the bowl while cleaning it :'(. But he also did a decent job touching it up. I've been looking for a cheap performer for awhile now but this table was so clean I had to pony up a little more than I wanted to spend.
This was the guy selling the weber wok that he painted the bottom. I almost came home with that too :P I bet some paint thinner would take it right off.

If the bottom wasn't painted I would have. He wants $80 for it. He also had a large round cast iron griddle that I think was weber brand. It had a two inch SS lip around it that he had made for it. Kind of cool.

Looks great, Tim.  Appears to have nice new grates, plus sweeps too.  Really a pretty specimen. Congrats!

Nice Pickup !!!

Unfortunate dingleberry, but everything else looks real nice !!!!

I'd be going back for the griddle if he's selling...........80's a bit high for the wok, JMOp.

Good score. I like the red. Did you try to talk him down on the wok and griddle?

The "dingleberry" has been bugging the sh*t out of me. I've been questioning the buy this whole time. So when I saw this on CL I had to pick it up. Paid $75 for it. I'm going to combine the best parts of the two and have a really nice Performer!

Nice grab!  Looking forward to the restoration.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!
