New Year’s Eve Rib Roast on the Summit
« on: December 31, 2023, 04:33:15 PM »
Bypassed the rotisserie this year, standing rib roast laid down mid cook lol….  Turned out really good, used the new MEATER 2+ which worked flawlessly.  Lane’s Brisket rub on for 24 hours, roast out for one hour prior to cook.  Beaux had his share of the unseasoned inner parts and wanted more.  Kellee’s chocolate dipped strawberries and ice cream for desert.  Happy New Year everyone!

As usual, looks amazing Greg!  Your grill buddy is licking his chops!!!

Challenge you to try the Chuck “Prime”Rib in Sous Vide sometime. Finish off high heat in one of your wonderful Webers.

We did it about 7yrs ago and followed this process and it came out perfect and kept a few extra coins in our pockets!

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Thanks Robert, I was a little worried about getting a nice crust all around without using the rotisserie.  Not sure I noticed a difference other than the roast shrinking and falling over lol..... Definitely easier to just throw it on the grill and easier cleanup.

Cheers and Happy New Year you and yours!
