Firing up the 26 to cook some hamburgers. Stopped by the local butcher and got some fresh ground chuck on my way home from work. Perfect way to the end the week.

Burgers were yummy

Roasted yellow potatoes and grilled onions. I used to always foil potatoes, but roasting indirect with the kettle at around 400-425 does wonders. Rubbed them well with olive oil.

Great burgers, and I too noticed the buns.

Looks like Costco buns. I think they are called Italian-something or other but really good, especially with butter and Jarlsberg cheese.
2009 Weber Spirit E310, 2013 22.5 OTG and a bunch of Weber stuff
I like my Weber's the same as my Ford's and Harley's, any colour, as long as it's black.

They are brioche buns from Trader Joes. They are very good for burgers.

Nice cook Bbq, but its obviously time for a new grill.  It looks like the paint on your lid is peeling..... ;)

I do need to give her a good cleaning sometime.

This kettle has seen heavy use for the last 4 years, but it is still chugging along.

Ah yes, thanks for the info. Trader Joes has some good stuff like that. I like their pretzel buns for burgers too.

Man ... 26ers are huge! I have never really studied one up close ... so much more cooking area!  :D

Nice looking cook-up.  :D

Lately I have coated taters with EVOO, and sprinkle some Kosher salt on them - no foil.
Skin gets nice and crispy, and the salt makes them just near perfect.  8)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Thanks. The 26 does provide a lot more space. Potatoes are really good this way.
