Drip and roast pan

Will a drip and roast pan cover the vents? Is this bad. Not sure if this is something that has been figured out. Does it sit up off of the vents?

If placed next to a SNS, then it’s on the charcoal grate and helps direct airflow from vents to coals in SNS. No worries with that setup.

Oh ok so it sits above the grate? Would be alright to place a peice of foil down there instead of the pan?

if all you are looking to do is block airflow and direct it to the sns and somewhat collect drippings, then yes.

Would I be able to wrap a thick piece of cardboard in foil? To help with clean up
