Bushing for thermometer probes?
« on: March 17, 2023, 12:58:04 PM »
Does anyone have any recommendations for a bushing made to allow the insertion of thermometer probes into the kettle? Is there another way to use thermometer probes with a kettle that doesn’t include running them under the edge of the lid?

Thanks very much.

I installed a probe port on the first kettle I ever modded some years ago and truthfully it’s more trouble to use than it’s worth.  I used it a few times early on and haven’t since - never damaged a probe wire by sitting a lid on it including my 26” which has a massively heavy lid.  I’ll find the link from Amazon in case you want it.

Like @bamakettles, I never had any issues with probe wires, including on my 26er and 23 WSM.
