Thank you! I was 25 at the time. More hair and less girth. Those were the days!  :)

Awesome stuff.  If you want to continue with the restoration, there are lots of great tips on this site.  I recommend a razor blade scraper for the interior followed by sos pads.  A dremel with a small wire brush attachment can clean up that triangle.  That kettle has a lot of life left!

Yup! I already have the scraper, extra blades, 0000 steel wool, fine grit sandpaper, metal polish, dremmel tool, metal brushes for my Ryobi drill. I plan on doing this a little at a time over the course of the summer
