We are still deciding on the table. The original cleaned up nicely so we may stick with it until it's condition warrants replacement. Then we will likely go with a wooden one stained or dyed black.

And inspired by @Jules V. I dyed some old wooden handles black and have been protecting them with some spar urethane. Still in progress.


For anyone else looking to do a project like this, don't make the same dumb mistake I made and either a) overtighten the handle, or b) not use something like fiber washers between the new handle and the lid.
Totally my fault so I will deal with it. Still love that handle, @Lilyankee and @bladz !
