My sister gifted me this charcoal starter for my birthday and I have to admit it exceeded my expectations. I use to pour some cooking oil onto a paper napkin and light it under my chimney but this worked so well and so fast I think it's my new goto charcoal lighting method.

I've been using all the "free" white paper they crumple up to move you with. Just tear it into squares crumple & stuff in the bottom of the chimney.
I paid for it I'm sure & I must have a cubic yard of the stuff.

I use a cotton ball and Vaseline smush  it into the gel and place it in the charcoal. Once it's going good I'll put briquettes over it. Learned this trick when I was a Boy Scout it will light wet wood which we seemed to have a lot.
