P code or LE red
« on: March 09, 2021, 12:06:40 PM »
I know the LE had some issues when 1st shipped and had alot of chipped kettles similar to the GB26 release. Like that release they fixed it pretty quickly then continued to get a bad wrap after that for what seems like "issues" that have always been present.

All that to say I was cleaning a P code red SSP to sell, as my performer stall has ran over, and I was amazed at what great shape and crazy character it had. Then remembered many of these items are complaints on new kettles.

Chipped jagged edges on legs sockets (despite never being used)

No colored blavk showing and missed porcelain on handle straps

Runs in the porcelain from the factory

Despite those items,  there are no strap pops, no cracks at the brackets, a bit of rust on the handle but non on the sockets. The sweeps and the charcoal grate had rusted into dust but the bowl is gorgeous. If they hadn't over tightens the burner it would be practically mint.

Just weird musings while kettle scrapping. [emoji28]

Very nice, should have no problem selling that one unless you get it all back together and cannot part with it.  Been there....
