Hi all,
Recently relocated from Arizona to Switzerland and am starting to settle in. I liquidated my weber kettles before I left (thanks
@jcnaz ) except for Bisbee, who was disassembled, cleaned, and carefully packed in storage. So when I arrived in Switzerland, I needed a kettle. A search of the local weber site:
Needless to say, the Glen Blue caught my eye. It is a 22" master touch. The Master touch here is basically the same as the US models, however the wheels have a much better design (in my opinion). After doing a bunch of searches, and watching videos of
@Troy reviewing the 26' glen blue sold in the US, I decided that was the way to go.
The 22 MT in Glen Blue is a limited edition kettle for sale in Australia and Europe. In many countries it is sold out but there are a few left in Switzerland. I don't speak or read French, but I managed to navigate through the website to buy it. And yes, it was expensive. Webers here are roughly 2-2.5X the US price. I am finding, in general, everything is more expensive.
Got it home, put it together (can't remember the last time I assembled a "new" Weber), and am ready to do some cooks! While Switzerland may be an expensive place to live, the views are really breathtaking.
