What's up everybody! I've been charcoal grilling for a few months now and want to think I've gotten somewhat decent at cooking a steak!

I was living in apartments and had been using a beat up old community propane grill. and finally bought a house some months back. First thing I did was get a Weber!

Thanks to you all your tips in these forums I've started working on the craft.

Nonetheless I wanted to get into smoking and in anticipation for my Slow 'N Sear Deluxe on the way I did a couple mods to my kettle.

Let me know what y'all think?

Very nice!  Perfect thermometer placement and nice lid hinge install.  You're off to a great start!

Thank you! I'm already looking at getting my next kettle. I can see how collecting them can get addicting

don't be afraid of the addiction, the cure is out there, morekettles.com   LOL
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Nice upgrades. I agree with Bama, that's the best spot for the thermo for sure. Wonder how long before Weber places them there for us...balls in your court Mr. Koos haha

I'm glad I saw this. I am also a newbie and just ordered a thermometer for my kettle. I know where I should put it now. Thanks!
