Because the weather is getting nicer, I thought I'd take a moment to remind everyone that if you are considering buying a brand new Performer, you might consider buying the Crate and Barrel version.  It is SLATE BLUE &, at $439, is same price you'll pay for a more common color elsewhere.

Interesting how that one is assembled. Is that a marketing pic?

I ran with one like that for a while and ended up switching back to regular.

C&B has had custom colors for years. Nice to see.

Is there a list of C&B colors over the years?  Or, a list of exclusive colors for specific retail channels?

It's a screen shot from C&B website, you can't right click & download & I didn't want to bother going through a slightly more difficult method to download that I've used before.  I haven't seen a list, per se, of exclusive colors over the years.

I just picked up this exact model. Fun Fact, if you register for their rewards program (C&B) you can get a 10% discount; Rare for a Weber product.

I did the same thing, 10% off is a pretty nice deal.  I like this color.

When I tried to checkout, I believe tax needed to be collected, and shipping. Total was $511. Ouch!

I'd be VERY interested if it were $439 shipped, but it's far from it.

Shipping is about the same as 10% deal mentioned above, nothing to do about the tax but pay it and then bitch and winge a bit during then start cooking.

Picked this grill up in June and love it. Sure, your paying a bit more for the color but your going to have this thing forever so why not?! This is how I justify all of my grilling purchases lol.

I guess if you lived in a State without any C&B locations you might be in business, but not the case here in Texas. As mentioned, the 10% negates the shipping cost so it was a wash. I did have the option to pick it up, but would have to await an extra 3 weeks or so-Who wants to wait to get their grill action going?
