I've got a plum colored SSP, lid code DD, and I was wondering if anyone has swapped out for the newer lid bale so the lid opens more.

Kneab

Yes I have on a few performers. I believe the part number is 65188.

It's a fantastic upgrade and a direct swap.

The old style covers will not fit though if you make the mod.  I believe another member tried using the Summit Charcoal Grilling Center cover with success.
