Hi all, I've been looking at some kettle pizza ovens and most of them the lid is level , but I saw one that angles the lid to the back. I'm thinking that this would deflect the heat more to the top of the pizza which may be good. I m wondering because I am going to make one and I want to know if anybody has the angled one and is it better than the "level"one. Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I will try to find some pics
Cheers ( found the pic)

If you have a spare lid you could just cut a slot in it, then the pizza will be closer to the lid. Then raise your grate up to where the stone is level with your hole. @Jules V  Cut a very nice pizza lid.

I dont have any information on why the one has the angle though, lol

Ya I saw his lid cut out and it looked great , I actually do have a spare lid , I was thinking of doing that as well, cant decide just yet.

I have the Pizza Que (angled attachment) and it works good

But I highly recommend cutting a lid

A 22 is a little big for my needs, but it'll work good

I think an 18 is perfect for it. Less space to heat, lower ceiling and easier to handle

Close your eyes and do it!

Dude, relax your chicken.

Ya I agree, I m going to cut the lid, I was looking through my metal cutting discs for my Dremel today to make sure I had some and I do . First thing tomorrow will be cut time.

I think they put masking tape on to minimize porcelain damage

Cabernet

I'm going to build a template first to see the size I want it to be then I will tape the outline on the lid and cut away
Cheers
