Two-tone Traveler RRR
« on: April 29, 2020, 12:24:19 PM »
(Pic heavy) Finally got her cleaned up. Fixed up few things like the damaged lid rim, bent vent tabs, and ash pan. Not the most ideal day to take pics as it was cloudy and started to rain.

Thank you all for your interest.

With 2 known Red top Travelers ( info provided by harris92) to exist before mine surfaced, and a new member wanting to restore his grandfather's red top .....it looks like Weber indeed produced and sold them back in mid 60's in this configuration.

Big thanks goes out to harris92 for providing crucial information. His comment from a related thread.
- Very cool grill. From what I understand this color combo was used sporadically around 1966 (for a couple years) for the Traveler and Fireplace Kettle.

In coming weeks, Moderator Cellar2ful will document this kettle in the Grill Gallery. Thanks!
