The first time I drilled a hole in my kettle for a mod, I was freaking out.  Once the mod was complete, I realized how much fun it was customizing my kettle to suit my needs, and I wished I had done it years ago.  I've since added a couple more mods (some more simple than others), and each one resulted in a better grilling/smoking experience for me afterward.  If you're considering a mod that will make your grilling experience that much better, just go for it! You'll be glad you did! Measure three times, safety first, drill once! Good luck!
Wife: Let me guess... you want to grill again
