I have recently done a mechanical restoration on a 1994 Redhead Genesis 1000.

Wood also.

I have realized that it does not have either bottom cross bar.....down by the wheels.

Would you bother to fab and replace these?

I will post photos when I figure out how to.

Thanks in advance.

Kneab

Yes they are necessary.
The legs will collapse without the cross bars. You can fabricate some out of square or round tubing. You can run threaded rods the length of the tubes or you can purchase tube nut inserts online or from your local bicycle shop.
Very easily fixed.

Thanks.

The table wood is cedar from Home Depot simply cut to length and treated with Tung Oil.

The handle was purchased on-line and I also treated it with Tung Oil.
