I was disassembling a recent kettle pickup with an original one touch system.   I've picked up at least five like this and always had to use the dremel to cut the lever off.  This one was thirty years old and rusted badly but came off with minimal effort!

Small victory!   I was so excited I had to share.

I really need to invest in a dremel - I used a hacksaw to lop off the lever when I replaced my old rusted-out one-touch.

Dremels rock. Period. Don't buy anything but the real deal. Strong. Reliable. Last almost for ever.  8)
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

A few days of hitting it with WD40 or similar oil should loosen it, if not break out the propane torch.
