From the woods of Maine
« on: September 21, 2019, 12:38:28 PM »
Earlier this week I'm searching the WWW and stumble across an ad that was up for about 20 hours. I figured it was loooong gone but asked if it was still available. A few minutes later I get a reply that it is. I asked if she would ship it to me if I paid for it. She says, no problem. I gave her a 50.00 deposit through paypal and she said she would find out about shipping. The next day she sends a picture of the USPS receipt for shipping. I was shocked as I still owed her more then the deposit. Asked her the balance and paid in full. Then I asked where she got it. She told me her Aunt worked for LL Bean and it was a gift. Her Aunt gave it to her a few years ago and she never used it. It's NIB and NEVER been assembled. The black handles are really nice. She was going to throw away the box because it's missing a flap. I asked her to pack it in the box she'll be shipping it in. Sooo glad I did. I never expected to get this, in 3 days no less. What a seller, there are good people out there.

Great pick up Colin, and these scores normally happen in 3's so I look forward to seeing the next one pop up.

Very cool man.  I just wish all of the logo kettles were even half as cool!

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Beautiful Colin!  That was a great score!  Unbelievable that it managed to go 20 hours unnoticed!  Congratulations!
