Silver Gennie Estate Sale Find

My wife dragged me to to an estate sale today - pretty close to home. I really wasn't in the mood, but what the hell, it was close. When I got there, I grabbed a few things for a buck, then asked one of the sale people if they had any grills. (I ALWAYS ask at any type of sale I drive by.) She said no charcoal grills but there was a gas grill out back that they really didn't want to drag out for the sale. I was expecting what you normally see, some clapped out Charbroil. Much to my surprise it was a 3-burner Weber Gennie. I gave it a quick once over. Looked like it had just been wheeled back there from the garage - they needed the space for tons of estate sale crap. Clean as a whistle. I walked back in the house and asked what they wanted for it - thinking I would offer some ridiculous price like $25 regardless what they said. Oh happy day when she said "How does $10 sound?" It was in the back of my wagon within seconds, even though it is (gulp) green. Gave it a quick bath at home, and it looks like it was used two or three times in it's life. You know how Gennies get that layer of greasy shmutz on the back of the lid where all the smoke comes out? This grill? Nada! Some garage rat chewed through the gas hose, but I have a spare waiting for something like this. One of the cheap-ass wheels is busted, so that will be gone soon. Might make this one a peg-leg. Interior is really clean, grates are fresh and the burners have a good 15 years left in them. (I'll be close to 80 by then) Nearly full tank of gas too - that alone was worth the $10. Will fix the hose and wheels tomorrow, then this will go into the rotation - I have a NOS Weber basket roti waiting for it.

Finished the minor re-hab this morning. New gas hose was first - fire in the hole on the first click. Easily pegged the thermo. Went with four 8" wheels, and I really like it this way. I even like the white push-nuts I had on hand. I bought a couple of the tank covers on clearance last year for a few bucks. Just need a new cover now and the project is complete.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I would call it a "Push me, Pull me" (Dr Dolittle).  Nice workhorse for $10.
