Introducing the Weber Stainless Steel Smokey Mountain Performer. I was happy with my 18.5 Platinum cart conversion from a couple years ago, but this version is even better. All the benefits of a WSM on a cart, plus the convenience of a 22.5 right next door. Not quite done, but it is exactly what I envisioned. I plan to shorten it by the heigh of the caster wheels which I don't like anyway, so it will end up with a grate height similar to the Platinum cart - around 45". The 22.5 will be lower, but I plan to use this as a roti-grill, so that will make up for it. Also need to fab a table insert from the remains of the Performer, I have something in mind. May even have it done by Mod Month. Comments welcome.

Not a fan of the wsm so i went with a stacker for all my smoking needs.   Single or double stacked for smoking and rotisserie. Made 3 sets of these to serve as my daily cookers. Probably will end up getting rid most of the other performers. Frames are symmetrical and no casters for better stability.

Honestly, 56mpg wins the competition

And that for being as close as possible to the core

I'm still working my way through the minor leagues. Not sure I'll ever get the call, but I'm having fun living the dream.

Very cool. Does the lid stay on very well when you move it? I could see some brackets or tabs on 3 or 4 sides being handy just to keep the lid from falling. Might not matter though if you just park it.
ISO: 18" & 22" Lime, 22" Cado, Plum SSP, Clean & Colored 18" for Midget Mod, and the usual Grails.

Very nice! I'm excited to see what you do with the stainless to match that cajun bandit door. I'm thinking of how to fabricate some brackets that sit it down a little further, then you would have to spin the cb door to the side though.

completely unrelated but... The stainless steel bottom shelf, did you have that made up or did you find something that fit?

I bent those myself using a friend's sheetmetal brake.
