Wow, such a resto requires a lot of patience. Congrats

Absolutely amazing!    Make sure someone is getting some video of your dad's reaction when he sees it !   Will be something you'll cherish forever !

Excellent work!!!

I have the same grill waiting / Begging for some RRR!!!  Inspiring!!!  I know what I am going to do this weekend!!!

Question.  Did the Sandblasting cost an arm and leg?  I am thinking of Soda Blasting my cook box and lid panels.  I picked up some  DIY parts to make my own Soda blaster...

I would really like to see the look on Dads face for the reveal!!

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

I definitely plan to have a camera handy when I bring it over to my Dad, I think he'll be pretty excited! @jeffrackmo Sandblasting wasn't bad, $75 for everything.

What's that blue kettle drumish-lookin' conversion in the 2nd pic?

Superb resto job on the 1000 :) Better than new!
Beer! It's what's for dinner...

Ah thanks. The wheels and frame threw me off. Not that I have any idea what I'm looking at but it didn't look like a WSM and I didn't know what it was.
