Any suggestions for HC internal ash pan hole repair?

Wondering if anyone has attempted to repair a rust through hole on a Happy Cooker internal ash pan & if it held up.

I’d say that you could use welds to fill in holes, since there’s porcelain loss there anyway. Low amps/higher feed speed. Grind ‘er smooth if you’re worried about appearance.
