Samuel Adams Smokey Joe i(probably Midnight Blue)

Ran across this little beauty with a faded wood handle, but I'm guessing some sanding & tung oil should do the trick (along with a bit of cleaning).

That’ll be a beautiful kettle when you get ‘er cleaned up.  First color SJ I ever owned.  If I was a Sam Adams drinker, it’d still be with me.  Went to a grate home though.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Thanks guys.  I'm not actually big on logos, but I do enjoy a Sam Adams on occasion.

Not a Midnight Blue SJ. Regardless, nice Blue!  It should clean up nicely.

I "guessed" Midnight Blue because that is the only Samuel Adams one listed in the Smokey Joe Logo list.  So the question becomes, what the heck color is this one!

According to the listing, it was listed 2 months ago.  I had looked at it a number of times, tried seeing if they would take paypal & ship, & finally reached out to an agent.

Hal

I thought yours look more like the one on the left. In comparison, the Sam Adams Midnight Blue is on the right which is much darker blue.

But, after compare these 2 links, I am not so sure if the ones with a wooden handle is MB or not. http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/member-sales-trades/sam-adams-midnight-blue-smokey-joe-nib/
Same like yours with a wood handle. http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/sam-adams-sj/

Maybe it is MB.

Cool.  It's got the wood handle, so maybe it is before they started making the midnight blue or maybe they discontinued the original blue color they made the wood handle ones from.

It is now in the hands of a fine WKC member, who was kind enough to send me a couple of photos.
The blue looks a little darker in these pics & perhaps might actually be closer to the midnight blue that @greenweb has.
I'll be neat to finaly see it in person.

It is a 1999 EE code, last year for the wood handles.

Hal
