Hello from WI
« on: November 29, 2018, 08:26:48 AM »
Hello all! My name is Kim, A few months ago I was talking to a friend of mine who I knew was into Webers and grilling, I was in the market for a new grill (hadn't been too into grilling before) well, he convinced me to buy a Weber. I purchased a brand new Weber Premium Performer! I absolutely fell in love and with the help of my friend I began not only grilling but smoking on it as well (he has been a great mentor), anyway. a couple of months later I found a Vintage '75 MBH Redhead on FB for $20, drove 2 hours round trip and picked her up. Took her home, cleaned her up and started buying accessories for and cooking on her as well.
Now I'm a member of two Weber Groups on FB, Weber Kettle Club Grill Giants and Weber Kettleheadz. I post on there fairly often and have been keeping my eyes open for more Vintage Kettles to rescue. Lol

Welcome, Kim! Settle in and look around. You might consider also joining smokingmeatforums.com. I'm Bluewhisper there.

Webers can smoke quite well. I'd like to get one of those Performers, to have a prep surface grillside.
