New Tool Handles

@SmokinPerformer2's outstanding leather wrapped grill tools thread inspired me to get into my shop and fabricate a handle for my favorite pair of tongs which were looking very shabby. I don't work in leather but I do work in wood.

The before (silicone grip has fallen apart, tongs are in need of some love) -



The blank, cutout and ready for the router table and then the bandsaw to split the two pieces. Like the handles I fabricated for the Weber 18" kettle, these are also from scrap Meranti wood -



Pre-finish, just to check for size and fit -



Results -





And in the tool holder on the Weber 18" paired up with the matching custom handles -
