I loved the ice day cook so much and this is my version of it...

Temps in the mid 30s and wind chill in the low 20s but no ice...

Started with an arm roast around 2.5 pounds...Seasoned with salt and pepper...
Indirect on the kettle with a chunk of olive wood for some color and flavor...

Meanwhile in the CI dutch oven I prepped some shrooms and shallots...

Added a can of beefy mushroom soup and a can of water...Also a heavy pinch of dried thyme...No salt because the soup has more than enough...

After an hour of smoke the roast got in the pot and the lid went on...
Indirect on the grill with the lid on the grill for another couple of hours...

When the roast came in I fried some taters on the grill...

Sliced the roast...

And it's time to eat...

Thanks HK for the inspire...

And thanks to the rest of ya for looking...

Everything thing looks delicious. Nice smoke ring on the roast. I have two Lodge CI DO and have only used them once. I will plan my next cook (after Thanksgiving) around the Dutch Ovens. The inspiration has been placed forward. Thanks @HoosierKettle and @Smoke Freak.

It's always better when you're cooking on a Weber!

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Glad I could help . All I did was throw meat and veggies in a pot. The kettle does make it special

I like the flavors you have going there. It all looks incredible.  I'll have to try the soup next time and I really need some fried potatoes now.

I just had a great time with the grill and had a fine supper to show for it...

I somehow missed this. Dang Craig, that's just purty!!
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.
